Abandoned by his mother shortly after immigrating to the United States, Gon is raised by the mafia and grows up to become a cold-blooded hitman. Though usually flawless in taking out his targets, Gon makes a terrible mistake of killing an innocent young girl. Swamped by feelings of regret, guilt and shame, Gon no longer wants to be a hitman, but his boss gives him one last mission.
So Gon finds himself in South Korea, the land of the mother that abandoned him, on the trail of his last target. But in bitter irony, that target is Mo-gyeong, the mother of the dead child. Mo-gyeong is a risk manager at an investment firm who now lives in a fog of despair, caring for her senile mother while reliant on alcohol and drugs to get by following the loss of her husband and daughter. She is oblivious to her involvement in a much larger conspiracy until a man approaches her, claiming to know the truth behind her daughter’s death.
Gon agonizes and faces a life or death choice ― to follow the order to kill his target or to risk his own life at the price of redemption for his past.
So Dong Gun’s english as I already know is pretty good. Let’s start with that. He is ruthless and killing shit left and right. It’s beautiful, even though he killed that little girl. I appreciate that he felt remorse for that though. Brian Tee and Jun Seong Kim make me happy to see them. They are so perfect oh my God. They are so hot even though they make Jun Seong look kinda like a little bitch lol. Side Note: Never underestimate someone by their looks assuming they don’t speak your language or that they don’t understand you. They might, and then you’re screwed.
Anyway the movie was good but could have been better. Cinematically my favorite scene was when they tried to kill Dong Gun with a truck. Watch the shit for yourself. I’m just saying, it should come up between 43 minutes and 45 minutes into the movie. The action scenes were fucking awesome as well. The last scene where she blew that ass away was perfection and so damn sexy oh my wow.
Unfortunately the storyline kind of sucked to me. I’m not sure why but it did. The saving grace was that the action was so damn good.
